Cutting A Red Oak for Seating

This tree was cut to make a couple of seats for the cabin addition. They will measure 22" x 22".  Each will be hewn like all the beams.  It's a lot of work  getting from  a tree down to custom seating. 



Daddy and I are deciding where to cut. 



You can see how large this tree was.  It was down in a creek and was hard to get out.
