This blog is to help me document the changes to our little cabin. We began working toward this project December 2010. The plan is to build an addition the length of the cabin onto the front. This summer we chose to reface the cabin before tackling the addition on the front.

Learning to hew a log by hand
Today I began practing my hewing abilities. I think this will give our cabin a look that we'll enjoy always. I'm sure I'll remember how many swings of the ax it took to get the look as well.
